Evolution of the regulation
On January 1, 2015, new regulations for VTCs and Taxis go into effect. Among the new standards are:
- A formal ban on marauding for VTCs
- The prohibition for cabs to work as VTCs
- The obligation of 250 hours of training for VTC drivers
- The management of VTC by the DREAL, under the authority of the Ministry of Transport, as for the companies of public road transport of people under the LOTI law.

Maturity of the market
With all the excitement surrounding passenger transport last year, between cab strikes and lawsuits against Uber, alternative means of transport to cabs received unexpected media coverage. Whether in the provinces or in the Paris region, everyone now knows the term VTC.
As a result, the number of registrations has exploded to reach more than 7000 at the end of the year… Enough to provide a varied transport offer for the coming year.

The Thévenoud law and the Macron law, debated in the National Assembly at the end of the year, have addressed proposals on public transport of persons:
